Privacy Policy
Effective as of
This Privacy Policy explains how BabyReco LLC ("BabyReco", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information in connection with the mobile application Starting Solids: Baby Plate (the "Application").
The Application is intended to help parents and caregivers introduce solid foods, access general feeding information, track foods offered to a baby, and record their own observations. The Application is not a medical device, does not provide medical diagnosis, and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
By using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Controller
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the UK GDPR, the data controller is:
BabyReco LLC

Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information processed in connection with the Application.
It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, stores, payment systems, operating systems, or services that we do not control, including Apple App Store services, Apple ID, device backups, iCloud, or Apple payment processing. Apple processes App Store account, payment, and purchase history data under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Summary of Our Data Practices
We do not sell personal data, use personal data for third-party advertising, or use IDFA for tracking across apps or websites.
We do not operate our own server-side database for storing your baby’s food tracker entries, feeding history, parent notes, or reaction observations. Most information entered into the Application is stored locally on your device.
We use selected third-party service providers for analytics, crash reporting, app performance monitoring, subscription management, and purchase-related processing.
Information We Process
You may choose to provide limited information about your baby, such as baby’s name, date of birth, and gender. You may also enter tracker information, including foods offered, feeding progress, parent notes, observed reactions, and possible allergy-related signs.
Unless stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy, tracker entries, reaction observations, food history, and parent notes are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to BabyReco servers.
When you use the Application, certain technical, usage, diagnostic, and subscription-related information may be collected automatically through third-party service providers. This may include device and app information, app instance identifiers, usage events, crash logs, performance data, subscription status, purchase events, trial status, renewal status, and refund-related events.
This information is generally pseudonymized and is used to operate, maintain, analyze, debug, and improve the Application.
Subscription and Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription or make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store.
We do not receive or store your full payment card number, Apple ID password, or full Apple account credentials.
We may receive limited transaction-related information necessary to manage access to paid features, including product identifier, subscription status, purchase date, expiration date, trial status, renewal status, cancellation status, refund-related events, and App Store transaction metadata.
This information may be processed by our subscription management provider and, where necessary, exchanged with Apple for purchase validation, subscription management, refund-related handling, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and App Store transaction processing.
Local Storage on Your Device
The Application is designed so that most parent-entered feeding information remains on your device. This may include food tracker history, parent notes, observed reactions, possible allergy-related signs, baby profile information, saved progress, preferences, reminders, and local notification settings.
You control this locally stored information. You may delete it through the Application’s available features or by deleting the Application from your device.
Deleting the Application may not delete information separately processed by Apple, your device operating system, device backups, iCloud settings, or third-party service providers used for analytics, diagnostics, or subscription management.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following service providers:
- Firebase: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Adapty: https://adapty.io/privacy
- Amplitude: https://amplitude.com/privacy
These providers may process pseudonymized technical, analytics, diagnostics, performance, and subscription-related information on our behalf or as independent service providers, depending on the nature of the service.
We use these providers for analytics, product improvement, crash reporting, diagnostics, performance monitoring, subscription management, purchase validation, paid access management, refund-related and transaction-related processing, and fraud or abuse prevention.
Purposes of Processing
We process information to provide and maintain the Application, personalize app content, enable food tracking, provide reminders if enabled, manage subscriptions and paid access, validate purchases, respond to support requests, detect and fix technical issues, analyze usage, improve the Application, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal, accounting, tax, App Store, or regulatory obligations.
Legal Bases for Processing
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions requiring a legal basis for processing, we rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation.
We rely on contractual necessity where processing is needed to provide the Application, paid features, purchase validation, app functionality, user-selected personalization, and access to content and features.
We rely on legitimate interests to process pseudonymized technical, analytics, diagnostics, and usage information for app security, stability, performance, product improvement, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and business operations.
We rely on consent where required by law, including optional permissions such as notifications, optional information you choose to provide, or any processing for which applicable law requires consent. You may withdraw consent where applicable through device settings, Application settings, or by contacting us.
We rely on legal obligation where processing is necessary to comply with tax, accounting, App Store transaction, consumer protection, or lawful request requirements.
Health, Feeding, and Allergy-Related Information
The Application may allow you to record feeding observations, including possible reactions after introducing foods.
These records are intended only as a personal tracking tool for parents and caregivers. The Application does not diagnose allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, or determine whether a symptom is serious. It does not provide emergency guidance as a substitute for medical care and does not replace a pediatrician, allergist, dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional.
If you are concerned about an allergic reaction, choking, breathing difficulty, swelling, rash, vomiting, feeding difficulty, growth, nutrition, or any other medical issue, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
Notifications
The Application may offer optional notifications or reminders, such as reminders related to foods, feeding routines, or app usage.
Notifications are optional. You can enable or disable notifications through your device settings. We do not use notifications for third-party advertising.
Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate, analyze, maintain, debug, improve, and monetize the Application.
If you make an in-app purchase or start a subscription, Apple processes the transaction through the App Store. We may receive limited transaction metadata from Apple or our subscription management provider to manage subscription access, validate purchases, process refund-related events, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with App Store requirements.
We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights or property, enforce our terms, investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues, or protect users or the public.
If BabyReco LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
International Transfers
BabyReco LLC is based in the United States. Some of our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries outside your country of residence.
Where personal data is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to countries that do not provide an equivalent level of data protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, adequacy decisions, Data Privacy Framework certification where applicable, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Food tracker entries, baby profile information, parent notes, observed reactions, and other locally stored information remain on your device until you delete them through the Application, reset the Application, or uninstall the Application.
Analytics data collected through Firebase and Amplitude is retained according to our provider settings and the providers’ applicable policies. Where configured by us, Firebase Analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months before deletion or aggregation.
Subscription and purchase-related data may be retained for as long as necessary to manage paid access, validate purchases, process subscription status, support refund-related processing, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and comply with legal, accounting, tax, and App Store requirements.
Crash logs, error reports, and diagnostic data are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate issues, improve app stability, and maintain security and performance.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed in connection with the Application.
These measures may include access controls, password protection, system monitoring, restricted access, provider security controls, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
The Application is intended for use by parents and caregivers.
Although the Application may have an App Store age rating of 9+, that rating relates to content suitability and does not mean the Application is intended to be used independently by children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Any information related to a child is provided by a parent or caregiver for the purpose of using the Application.
We do not use child-related information for third-party advertising or to create advertising profiles of children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate parental consent, contact us at contact@babyreco.app.

We may need to verify your request before responding.
